One dark, empty night
When I was all alone,
I closed me eyes and saw You
And thought, “My, but You have grown.”

You’re bigger now
Than You were then,
When I accepted You
And turned away from sin.

May You grow larger
In my sight,
And stay beside me
In the dark, empty night!
