Good morning world. I’m going to try something new. I’m going to try to compose a manna on my phone this morning using the WordPress app. I’m sure that my grammar and typos will be even worse than normal haha! I am so thankful for the handful of folks from around the world who take the time to read my Drabble. I’m not a very good writer, but I try to be authentic and I write from my heart.
“God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.” – Romans 11:8
I can’t unsee the video that I just watched on a late-term abortion “procedure.” Am I missing something friends? Are there really people out there that think that as long as a full-term baby’s head is still in a mothers birth canal that it is OK to kill that child? If I could fit my head back into my mothers birth canal would it then be OK to kill me?
I normally don’t write about “hot” topics like politics and abortion, but you must be sleepwalking my friend if you can honestly watch this procedure and think that it’s OK. I am pro-woman, but not pro-death. Neither is God according to the Bible that I read.
I get it. Why is it the woman’s responsibility to care for a child that they can’t afford. I agree. Where is the biological father in the abortion debate? I know that I’m totally using this Bible passage from the apostle Paul out of context, but it seems fitting to mention it here in the context of deadbeat “fathers” who impregnate a woman and then don’t take responsibility for their actions. Shame on you!
“I wish that the people who are upsetting you would go all the way; let them go on and castrate themselves!” – Galatians 5:12
My wife and I walk our talk. We adopted a little girl from China almost 15 years ago. She is one of the biggest blessings in our lives! I have many other friends who have adopted children, and even more who offer their homes and lives as foster parents. Thank you! May the Lord continue to bless you as you practice “pure” religion.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” – James 1:27
If this morning’s manna has upset you, please stop and ask yourself why? Why are we afraid to talk about this topic? Why do some people get so upset with folks who disagree with abortion? Why are so many Christians willing to post angry comments on social media about this horror, but are not willing to actually do something to actually help the hurting mothers and children who need their love and support? I’m not perfect friends, but I’m done sleepwalking. It’s time to wake up church and to start being the church.
