The Storms of Life (by Gary Roberts)

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

We all face storms in life. Sometimes we have the faith we need to walk through the storms we face and sometimes we have the faith we need to know when to seek help or stay inside. But no matter which route we take, we can be sure that God will be right there with us through the storms of life. God will equip us and sustain us to meet the storms that come our way as we trust God. God will also give us the grace and the power to make it through any storm as we walk hand in hand with Jesus.

Maybe there’s a storm out there right now with your name on it and you can’t quite see a way out. Maybe you’re not sure which direction you need to take or what the answer is to a question that is running through your mind at the moment. All you have to do is take it one step at a time and trust God and say to yourself: God, I know You have a good plan for my life – or – God, I am doing better today than I was yesterday – or – God, I know You are leading and guiding me and something good is going to happen.

With every step you take, know that God is doing a work in your life. Know that God is with you, and God will comfort you. Keep moving forward trusting God all the way. Keep taking those steps of faith and keep walking through the storm into the place God has prepared just for you.

Let us pray: Lord thank You for walking with me through every season of life. I do thank You for being a shield of protection around me, for going before me and preparing the way. Lord keep me close to You and give me the strength I need as I move forward into the place You have just for me. I offer this prayer to You Lord in the Name of the One who will not let me go – Jesus. Amen.
